The Alfresco Film Company will be presenting two films during September, Pulp Fiction and Shaun of the Dead.
There’ll be delicious, locally produced food and drink for sale, including hand pressed 6oz burgers and real pork hot dogs, plus ice cream and event bar selling Prosecco, Pimms and local ales and ciders. Outdoor deckchairs and beanbags will be provided for those purchasing premium seats (plus free popcorn and a blanket to use for the evening), all other customers selecting BYO seating must bring their own low-backed camping chairs, beanbags, deckchairs or picnic rugs.
6th September: Pulp Fiction
We’ve been itching to screen Tarantino’s finest for ages, so we’re thrilled to finally announce our debut airing of the incredible Pulp Fiction at the brilliant Over Farm. An ensemble cast of the coolest movie megastars bring a whole host of unforgettable characters to life in a series of stories that twist, turn and intertwine. The movie pretty much re-invented cinema for the 21st century and is packed with thrills, shocks and the most quotable, smart dialogue ever to burst from the big screen. Royale with Cheese, anyone?
7th September: Shaun of the Dead
Zombies, laughs, scares and gore. All these things belong at Over Farm. The home of the south-west’s biggest scream festival, ‘Frightmare’, is the perfect location for Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Edgar Wright’s wildly funny rom-zom-com, and with Halloween festivities just over a month away, let’s get in a suitably apocalyptic mood with this legendary movie in the open air. You are of course encouraged to turn up rocking the full zombie look, but please, no gnawing on the other customers once darkness falls. Or we’ll have to get the cricket bat out.
